Use the correct needle size and make sure it is in perfect condition clean, sharp and not bent.

For quick and easy threading never wet the end of the thread, simply cut at an angle.

Jf the upper and lower tension is correctly adjusted, the thread loop of the stitch should be exactly balanced.

The loop should not be visible either side of the fabric.

If the thread shows on the top, the upper tension should be loosened or the lower tension tightened.

When using any Gütermann thread it should be drawn off the reel over the Gütermann name.

This rule applies to both hand and machine sewing.

If the thread lies horizontally on the sewing machine, the Gütermann name should be on the right hand side
